VALLEY VIEW CASINO&HOTEL CASE STUDY

Valley View Casino & Hotel opened on April 18, 2001, on the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians reservation in Valley Center, CA. Facing numerous challenges in size and location as well as fierce competition from 12 competing casinos in the San Diego gaming market, the casino recruited some of the nation’s top gaming executives to position Valley View Casino & Hotel as San Diego’s favorite casino destination.

Through Valley View Casino’s strategic operations and a $114 million expansion project, the casino was able to increase revenue substantially and consistently from 2002 to 2009 since its inception. What makes this growth so phenomenal is that it was achieved during the casino’s expansion while building an all-new casino around the existing casino without ever having to close its doors. In 2010, Valley View Casino further expanded by opening a luxury boutique hotel, truly turning Valley View Casino & Hotel into a getaway destination.

The casino and hotel continued to flourish from 2010 to 2018, and in June 2019, Valley View Casino & Hotel completed a luxurious $50 million expansion and renovation project. The construction began in April 2018, and the casino celebrated with a Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on July 3, 2019.

The 43,000-square-foot expansion set the stage for even more exciting gaming and dining experiences, which included 30,000 square feet of additional slot and table game space. In addition to the casino’s Award-Winning Maine Lobster Buffet and Black&Blue Steakhouse, the expansion included a new restaurant and bar, Patties & Pints, which overlooks the casino floor as well as the grand casino entrance. The casino also introduced a complete renovation of The Café, which serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner options and overlooks the picturesque Palomar Mountain Range.

Additionally, a new indoor water wall was added and sits steps away from the 30-foot glass-enclosed main entrance, creating a breathtaking sense of arrival. The complete 143,000-square-foot renovation included the main casino, non-smoking casino, high limit slot area and VIP lounge, along with 250 new state-of-the-art slot machines and 11 new table games. A new Players Club was also opened in addition to a new promotions, gift and slot tournament area. The expansion also made way for six new restrooms and two beautiful new guest entrances.

Valley View Casino & Hotel continues to flourish with exceptional results in 2020 and 2021.
